1967 Born January 29th in La Crosse, Wisconsin to artist parents

1972 Started painting, age 5, at the Kindergarten easel

1976 Drawings published in Art Teacher’s Instruction Manual, age 9

1985 Onalaska High School

-Selected for Gifted & Talented Artists program

          -Recipient: Senior Art Award & Art Scholarship

1986 Relocated to Minneapolis, MN

          -Painted Punk Rock portraits of friends

1987 Relocated to New York, NY

          -Painted self-portraits and various studies

1988-90 Joined Art Department of the notorious Unique Clothing Warehouse

          -Mentored by artist Tracy Lee Stum: Mural painting, window displays, signage and props

1990-91 Art Director at Unique Clothing Warehouse

1991-95 Production Manager (jewelry industry) at Jillery by Jill Fagin 

          -Sculpture of aluminum wire

1992-95 Fashion Institute of Technology

          -Pewter and Sterling Silver, Polishing & Finishing

1996 Began painting series of pop art “Pin-Up Girls”

1996-99 Staff Artist at mural painting studio, Modeworks, Inc.

1999 Painted trompe l’oeil murals for Venetian Casino, Las Vegas

2007 Painted “Jazz Babies” series in New Orleans

2008 Restored paintings damaged by Hurricane Katrina at New Orleans Conservation Guild

2008 Self Employed: The Art of Charlene Lanzel

          -Started “Dreams & Visions” painting series and “Idol Worship” painting series

        

2010 Allstate Olympic Hall of Fame - Vancouver, performance art chalk mural with Tracy Lee Stum

2010 Began creating Sand Animations and performing live worldwide

2020 Created “Dreaming Consciousness” series of Collages during pandemic

2021 Relocated to Hollywood, CA.
